Congratulations to Mrs. Paul Hodgdon on the birth of her newest grandchild. Madison Alene Hodgdon. I believe Phyllis told me this is her fifteenth great-grandchild.

Welcome to Westport to Stacey, Melanie, Ryannon and Eric Hutchison, who have purchased the former Eaton property on Cromwell Road and have moved in.

Congratulations to Julie Delano and Katie Stoodley, who have been named in the top ten Wiscasset High School seniors.

Congratulations to Amanda Gann, who is one of the poster winners in Grade 5 at the Wiscasset High School.

Clean Up Day

The Westport Conservation Commission is sponsoring the annual Westport Clean Up Day on Saturday, May 22 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Gloves and bags will be passed out at the Westport Town Office and refreshments will be available there for those who participate. Those who help can leave their bags there for those who participate. Those who help can leave their bags of trash by the side of the road and they will be picked up. Some folks have been seen picking up trash all month and it is certainly appreciated. The Conservation Commission wishes to thank all who take part.

Fire Department Yard Sale

The Westport Volunteer Fire Department will hold a Yard/Sale on Saturday, June 5 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Food items will be available, also.

If you have items you wish to donate, please call Fire Chief Rusty at 882-9237, Bob Mooney at 882-5952. If you have items you wish to put inside the station, Martin Anderson will also be available to let you in. Call 882-7651.
