Wiscasset Girls Travel Team Defeats South Portland
The Wiscasset Seventh Grade Girls travel team (Central Maine Sunday Girls' League) defeated South Portland 54-37 this week at home. The South Portland coach said his girls were not expecting a team as quick as Wiscasset and praised their play and foul shooting ability. Both teams played exceptionally well on both ends of the court. Kristen Pierce had 22 points in this game, 10 points were foul shots and 6 were rebounds; Amanda Davis had 7 points with 6 rebounds, Jill Reed 6 points with 10 rebounds, Sarah Whitfield, Sheena Pinkham, 5 points; Janet Reed, 4 points; Mary Ellen Buck, 2 points; Rachel Alexandrou, 2 points, 6 rebounds; Hillery Ellis, 1 point. The girls' next game will be away at Camden-Rockport. | |
