Undefeated Season For Lady Warriors
Chris Reed
The Wiscasset Middle School girls finished their regular season this week
with three more wins for a 11-0 record.
The girls went to Great Salt Bay and easily handled their less experienced
team 62-18.
Boothbay came to Wiscasset intent on avenging their home loss to the
Redskins. Boothbay's tough defense brought the teamwork out for Wiscasset.
Colby Graffam's quickness earned 14 points for Wiscasset. Sheena Pinkham and
Melissa Matthews shot well from outside for 5 points each. Kelsey
Robertson's aggressive play under the basket resulted in 4 points.
This was the only game this year that saw Wiscasset behind. Boothbay scored
off the tip-off. Wiscasset scored on their first possession and stayed out
front the rest of the game for the win, 43-28.
The third game this week was with A.D. Gray at Wiscasset. Again, Wiscasset's
quick guards made it difficult for Waldoboro to get the ball down court and
good rebounding helped with the 57-28 win.
