Driving through town you can see that the snowmobilers are out having fun. Please by careful and enjoy the winter safely. Nomination papers are due back at the office on Feb 3. Those that have them out please remember, there is still an opening for a school board member. If you are interested, come in and get your papers. It's that time of year again when people start thinking about New Year's resolutions to get fit. The exercise group that meets regularly at the firehouse on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 7:45 a.m. would like to extend an invitation for townspeople to participate at no charge in their step aerobics program. A core group has been meeting for several years, doing an intermediate routine, but instruction is offered and beginners are welcome.Everyone works at their own pace and participates as their schedules allow. Gym shoes, loose clothing and a bottle of water are recommended. Each session begins with warm up exercises followed by a roughly 45 minute aerobic workout and finishes with cool down exercises and stretches. Come and try a session. See if it's right for you. For more information call Natasha Norwalk at 586-6105. The T.O.P.S. group meets every Wednesday night at the Newcastle/Alna Church. Everyone is invited. Weigh-in is 6 to 7 p.m. and the meeting starts at 7 p.m. Hope everyone has a great week and stay warm. |
