Sympathy is also being sent to the family and friends of Harley Nelson in the passing of his wife Mildred. Mildred passed away on January 11 at Miles Memorial Hospital.

The Westport Community Association had their first meeting for the new year and really got a lot of things going for the up and coming spring and summer events. If all of it comes off as planned there will be some real interesting programs.

The association is the owner of the Community Church that is on the Historic Register. The church needed some work (not work that just any one could do). It needed to be done by an historic restorer.

After getting some bids they had Leslie Fossel do the work. It is so good to know there are people like Leslie Fossel to come in do the job as it should be done for the age of the building. He and his team did a fine job and gave the association a generous donation toward the billing. Members of the association would like to thank Les.
