United Way Open To New Agencies Wishing To Apply
Barbara Reinertsen
Agencies wishing to apply for first-time United Way funding
beginning July 1, 2006 are requested to submit an Eligibility
for Funding Application by December 30, 2005. This is the first
step for agencies to be considered for a partnership with the
United Way. Agencies currently receiving United Way funds will
receive a streamlined form to provide updated financial and
management information. The eligibility process is designed to
ensure that partner agencies have strong management and
financial accountability for donors. Organizations interested
in applying for partnership should contact Heather Libby at
443-9752, or hlibby@uwmcm.org for a copy of the Partnership
Agreement and Eligibility for Funding Application.
"We are very pleased with the results our current partner
agencies are achieving for local people, and we welcome new
partnerships as well," said John Hodge, Chair of United Way's
Compass Overview Committee. "United Way is investing donor
dollars in the goal areas of: Meeting Basic Needs/Safety Net, A
Safe and Healthy Community, Success By 6: Early Childhood, and
Youth and Lifelong Learning. Agencies that are making progress
toward these high priority goals are welcome to inquire about
applying."
