For the first time in the history of the town, meetings of the Wiscasset Board of Selectmen will be broadcast on the local cable channel 7.

Last week's meeting, held on September 25, the first meeting to be aired, was set to be broadcast this week on Tuesday at 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday at 1 p.m. According to an announcement from the town office, the meetings will generally be aired for two weeks, since selectmen usually meet every other week. However, if there is an extra meeting in between, it will be aired for only a week.
