will read some of their poetry and short stories. Come in and listen to
these authors discuss their writing and publishing experiences.
Claire Hersom is published in the "Aurorean," "Off the Coast," "UMA
College Poetry Anthology - 3," "The Weathervane," and her poetry and
essays appear in "Wolf Moon Press Journal," her book reviews, in "Off the
Coast," "Wolf Moon Journal" and "Rattle."
In 2004, her poem, "In the Sun, Leaning"

Senior College. In 2005, she placed in the Carolyn & Charles Drust
Memorial poetry contest for her poem "Yellow." "A Chap Book of Poetry,"
"Supper at the Farm" was printed in 2005, and a book of poetry, "The Day I
Circled the Wagons" was published by Snow Drift Press in the fall of
2006. Claire reads her work in central and coastal Maine, often with a
venue combining poetry and blues. She is a freelance writer for Courier
Press. Another book, "Drowning: A Poetic Memoir" about poverty will be
completed spring of 2008.
Janet Morgan retired as Director of Wiscasset Public Library in March
2007 to pursue a writing career. She has written a mystery novel, "Poetic
Justice," which has been submitted to publishers. She is currently writing
book two in the series "Killdeer Farm." Janet lives on a farm in
Litchfield where she tends chickens and works in a vegetable garden in her
spare time. The Library is very pleased to have Janet return for a
program.
