Tell It To George
Tell It To George is a collection of thoughts from here and away, from
people who want to get their two cents worth in, without using their
names.
The sales talk by the town's new website designer at last week's
selectmen's meeting was way too long. Next week can we leave the salesman
home? This has got to be more time consuming than public comment!
Our teachers should learn what is and isn't appropriate in the
classroom. I was quite taken back last week when my fifth grader came home
from school and told me that her substitute teacher told the class to go
home and tell their parents to "Vote NO on coal."
Using our children to advocate a political position is unacceptable and
should not be done in the classroom.
Mr. Houldin, I resent your implication that my vote and that of 865
others was "feedback!" Feedback? Feedback?
How DARE you! Do not diminish this vote. Do not try to spin it as
"feedback." You insult us. Do what you said you were going to do, and
build the maritime village, and get us a few businesses every year. Forget
the coal plant.
So, Mr. Houldin, how do you like
this
FEEDBACK?
The Connecticut developer's misleading press release during the
Chewonki seminar 10-24 says it all. Scott Houldin can say he wants to
study the coal plant more, but his findings cannot be trusted. Congrats
to Wiscasset voters for smelling a rat.
