An accident on November 14 in Woolwich hospitalized the drivers of
both vehicles. Clarence Marston, 59, was taken by helicopter to Maine
Medical Center in Lewiston, following the crash. Nichols Kebles, 24, was
taken by ambulance to the Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Route 127 and the Chops
Cross Road about 8 a.m. Marston was driving a Hancock Lumber truck north
on Route 127. When he tried to turn left on the Chops Cross Road, Kebles
in a Toyota Camry, who was driving south on Route 127, hit Marston.
The roof had to be lifted from the Kebles' car in order to remove him
from the vehicle.
Sagadahoc Deputy Sheriff Mark Anderson responded to the call along with
the Woolwich and Wiscasset Ambulances.
Efforts to determine the condition of the men have been
unsuccessful.
