Julia Lane and Fred Gosbee of Castlebay will present a public concert of songs and carols with a winter theme on Sunday, December 16 at 2 p.m. at the Sheepscot Community Church on King's Highway in Sheepscot. Lane on Celtic harp and Gosbee on guitar, fiddle, flute and whistles are celebrating 20 years of performing in Maine and along the entire eastern seaboard, as well as abroad in Celtic lands.

Castlebay's concert is a feature of Advent and Christmas activities at Sheepscot Community Church. Other activities, to which the entire community is invited, include:

• Lighting of the Advent wreath before services on all Sundays of Advent at 9 a.m;

• December 2, decoration of the church interior, including Christmas tree, after service; light refreshments; and

• December 24, 7 p.m., children's program, including music, and traditional candle-lighting around the church interior with singing of "Silent Night."
