Three running for selectman's seat

Wiscasset voters will choose between Phil DiVece, Bob Fairfield, and Prior Morrell to fill out the five months remaining in Selectman Alex Robertson's term at the polls on January 15.
Robertson resigned several weeks ago for health reasons.
DiVece is presently chairman of the board of trustees for the Wiscasset Water District, and has served on several town committees in the past. Bob Fairfield has also served on several town committees and is a former selectman. Prior Morrell has been a member of the planning board and on the town's first comprehensive planning committee.
The current members, chairman Duane Goud, Bill Curtis, David Nichols, and Nicole Viele have been continuing to meet to take care of town business, but have postponed dealing with assessments until they have a five-member board again. | |
