Alna bypass meeting set for Monday night


The seventh and last in a series of meetings on the state's Draft Environmental Impact Study (DEIS) for the Wiscasset Route 1 bypass will be Monday, December 17 at 6 p.m. at the Alna Fire Station.

The meeting was originally set for December 3, but was postponed because of the snowstorm. The purpose of the meeting is to get public input on the proposed bypass routes.

Comments may also be sent by mail to Ed Hanscom, Maine DOT, State House Station 16, Augusta, ME 04333 or via the project's website, www.wiscassetroute1corridor.com . Comments will be accepted up until and including, Friday, December 21.
