It's great to be saying Merry Christmas again

What's up with this Happy Holidays, Seasons Greetings stuff, anyway.
Those are fine if you feel like saying them.
But who decided they're better - more politically correct - than saying Merry Christmas.
When I was a kid, people would say Happy Holidays and Seasons Greetings, but they were never IN PLACE OF "Merry Christmas." They were just different things you could say if you felt like it.
For awhile there were some stores that told their employees not to say Merry Christmas to their customers anymore. And there were school teachers who told their kids they couldn't say it. And on and on. But apparently enough of us got so outraged that Christmas was being hijacked, that the pendulum of political correctness has swung back. Good. Merry Christmas. | |
