The Friends of the Wiscasset Public Library held their annual meeting on Tuesday, January 22 to elect new officers. Taking the president's chair for the next two years is Janet Morgan. Janet was the director of the library until she retired last March. She worked at the library for 27 years and will be a real asset to the Friends in this position.

Sandra Crehore will be filling the vice president's seat. Sandra has been the secretary to the Friends and a long standing member.

Patricia Barnes will be taking the position of secretary just vacated by Sandra. Pat has many years experience working on committees, is a long standing member of the Friends and is an excellent choice for this position.

Jean Shippee will continue to hold her position as treasurer for the Friends. Jean is an employee of Wiscasset Public Library and a Friend as well and does a terrific job as treasurer. The Friends of Wiscasset Public Library are very fortunate to have such a great group of officers coming in this year.

The Friends of Wiscasset Public Library would like to thank Tania Hayes for the wonderful job she has done as President over the last four years. Tania has been very diligent in her duties and dedicated to the Friends and the library. The Friends of Wiscasset Public Library is a really great group of people who work to assist and support the library.
