Despite the crazy weather last weekend, Paul and I traveled to Bangor. I had a class in Municipal Budgeting on Friday and Paul was able to stay with Nathan at his apartment. The class was very interesting and the presenters made it fun. After the class, Paul and I spent the night with Nate and we had a wonderful time. It seemed strange staying at my son's place as a guest!

On Saturday we drove up to Orono and spent a few hours with Caleb. UMO has a very impressive campus and many more programs than we were aware of. Though I was dreading the drive, it actually felt good to get away for a couple of days.

Ron Stead has been down and out with surgery, but he is feeling better and appreciated the get well wishes and cards. He wants people to know he is back on his feet and ready to work. Lori and Jay want everyone to know how much they have appreciated the increase in business. I have been cooking a special for them on Thursdays which has been selling out. This Thursday you can look forward to a special Valentine's Dinner of homemade lasagna, salad and garlic bread.

Lori has also been putting out homemade chocolates, so be sure to stop in for a treat. I noticed they had a nice selection of Valentine cards, so if you have forgotten to get one for your sweetheart, it's not too late! For more information, call 882-9300.
