Tell It To George
Tell It To George is a collection of thoughts from here and away, from
people who want to get their two cents worth in, without using their
names.
Columnist Jo Cameron from Edgecomb ought to give some lessons on how to
write an interesting, newsy, community-wide interest column.
I suggest
when
we close one of the schools, we call the new school system Two Bridges
Schools.
An April Fool's Day meeting to discuss spending $16 million to close a
school couldn't have taken place on a better day.
Let's think out of the box. Could retrofitting all three schools with
state of the art solar panels possibly cost $1.6 million?
How many years of saving on energy bills and maintenance costs is it
going to take before spending $16 million makes sense? Closing one
building isn't going to change maintenance or heating costs of other
buildings.
Spring is here!!! Where is the marina at Point East (as promised by
Scott Houldin)? More empty promises?
Sorry Westport Island. Looks like there is a new #1 in the moaning and
groaning department. Thanks Edgecomb!
Does anyone know what is going on with Point East? The houses no longer
show up for sale at Sothebys.com, Realtor.com, or any other real estate
site I looked at. Did the developer give up?
Shame on Prior Morrell for his personal attack on the qualifications of
the architect who spoke at the recent selectmen's meeting - totally
unjustified, uncalled for, ignorant, and rude. The chairman should have
ruled him out of order.
