Bob Marley appearing at the Taste of Maine
Maine comic Bob Marley will be doing four shows over two nights at the Taste of Maine, Route 1 in Woolwich.
The shows are at 7 and 9 p.m., both Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26. Tickets are $20, call 443-4554.
Marley, a University of Maine at Farmington graduate who been a professional comic for more than 17 years, performs throughout the country as well as all over New England. Marley uses biographical and observational material for his stand-up routines. Named one of Variety's "10 Comics to Watch," Marley has also appeared in several films, including the cult favorite, "Boondock Saints."
He is one of the few comics to do the complete late-night TV circuit, including "The Late Show" with David Letterman, "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno, "Late Night" with Conan O'Brien and "The Late Late Show" with Craig Ferguson and Craig Kilborn. His first TV special, "Comedy Central Presents Bob Marley," premiered last February.
His newest CD, "Goin' up the Faya," was recorded from his sold-out performance last New Year's Eve at Merrill Auditorium in Portland. It is his thirteenth CD release.
'We just keep turning them out,' he laughed.
